Which Island Pacifically?
Triptych on paper | Mixed media: paint, pencil, marbling, masking

This triptych was inspired by the Hawaiian islands and plays with a line from Kath & Kim, where “specifically” is mispronounced as “pacifically.” I liked the way it echoed the idea of searching for a specific place in the vast Pacific—funny, but also a bit disorienting.

Each panel moves through a different time of day—dusk, night, and dawn—and includes elements like cliffs, ocean, rocks, and distant mountains. I used a mix of materials and techniques, including paint, pencil, masking, and paper marbling, to build up layers and textures.

It’s a work about place, and shifting light—somewhere between a memory and a map.
